The San Martino apartment takes its name from La Certosa di San Martino, a palace area of Naples located on the Vomero hill, next to the Sant’Elmo castle. It is absolutely one of the largest religious monumental complexes in the city and one of the most successful examples of Baroque architecture and art together with the real chapel of the Treasure of San Gennaro, as well as the fulcrum of Neapolitan painting of the seventeenth century.
